Below is a sampling of what art lovers will find along four artisan trails starting this summer.



Sullivan County Pottery Trail
Upriver New York

What to See: Ten artists are highlighted on this trail but dozens of others also work their wonders in studios and galleries stretching from Roscoe and Callicoon through Jeffersonville, Lake Huntington, Barryville, Liberty and Glen Spey.

Arts Walk
Upriver New York

What to See: Port Jervis is rich in arts and crafts. One day in July the local community lays down a welcome mat and shows guests what their galleries, cafés and dining places have to offer.

 • Gordon Graff collects recycled, unwanted items, salvaged demolition, furniture and other found objects, and he turns them into art. Twenty Seven Gallery, 27 Front Street, 845-856-2727

Art Odyssey 2010
Midriver Pennsylvania

What to See: Jim Thorpe's professional artists open their doors for a self-guided walking and driving tour. The event covers 25 destinations from Bear Creek Lake on Pa-903 to Flagstaff Road on the west end.

Tour Highlights: Stained glass and jewelry are only a few of the passions of Nic East who started painting with oils in the 50s and worked his way with other forms of art. Nic East Design Studio, 10 Flagstaff Road, 570-325-0216, niceastdesign.com

Covered Bridge Trail
Downriver New Jersey

What to See: Professional artists from southern Hunterdon County show their wares in studios in Lambertville, Stockton, Locktown and Sergeantsville.
